houston calligraphy class

A few weeks ago, I taught my first calligraphy class at Houston Makerspace. I was so excited and nervous to say the least! There were so many questions on my mind (will they enjoy the class? will it be challenging enough? will it be too challenging? will we have enough time? how many lefties will there be? the list goes on…)

But, being the crazy type A that I am, I prepped a lot and had my lesson plan pretty much memorized down to the minute. I’ve presented to clients hundreds of times, but presenting materials to students is a new adventure for me. I just wanted everything to be as perfect as possible. Overall, the class went really well and everyone gave a lot of great feedback. The next class on November 8 sold out in just two days. When the third class on December 6 went live shortly after, it sold out in less than a day.

I can’t believe how lucky I am to teach others about my life-long passion (and I’m a little jealous that I didn’t have things like this when I was learning). And I can’t wait to make each class better than the last.

Thank you so much for your interest and support. To stay up to date on my latest classes and workshops, follow me on social or check my Calligraphy Class page. View the full album here.
